Partial relaxation in the mandatory submission of APAAR IDs
In a recent announcement, the board has permitted schools to have partial relaxations regarding the submission of APAAR IDs associated with the LOC data of students. The CBSE indicated that it has received requests from various schools in different states, highlighting technical and administrative difficulties in generating APAAR IDs for their students.
Some of these difficulties include:
- Challenges in integrating various portals.
- Discrepancies between student data in the school and Aadhaar records.
- The duration required to complete the correction or updating process, etc.
- Absence of parental consent.
Consequently, to resolve these issues, the board has instructed schools to adhere to the following points:
If APAAR IDs are not generated due to the lack of parental consent, schools must keep a record of the denial of consent from parents and mark the entry against APAAR as “REFUSED” in the LOC.
If APAAR IDs are not generated for other reasons, the entry against APAAR should be marked as “NOGEN.”
In all other instances, the APAAR ID must be indicated.
The board emphasized that these instructions are intended to ensure the error-free submission of the LOC within the designated timeframe. Schools are also encouraged to contact the relevant regional office if they encounter any difficulties.
