The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has brought in use Facial Recognition Technology to unlock documents on platforms like DigiLocker and Parniaam Manjusha. Earlier for downloading Class X and Class XII certificates from DigiLocker candidates were required to provide AADHAR Card Number and mobile number.
The use of Facial Recognition Technology will be highly helpful to students mainly in those cases when AADHAR Details and Mobile Number are not available for some reasons. The CBSE Board has already stored 12 crore digital academic documents including mark sheets, pass and migration certificates in DigiLocker.
The DigiLocker is a flagship initiative of the Ministry of Electronics and IT (MeitY). Also the CBSE Board announces Class 10 and Class 12 board and compartment examination results using the DigiLocker platform. This application is now available on “Parniaam Manjusha” and DigiLocker at
