The Central Board of Secondary Education is scheduled to close the LOC data correction window today. Schools must submit the accurate information of students who are taking the Class 10 and 12 board examinations via the official website at cbse.gov.in.
The board permits corrections or modifications to candidates’ particulars, including name, parent name, date of birth, or subject corrections.
Parents should verify that the following details are accurate:
1. The personal information of your child, such as name, date of birth, mother’s name, and father’s name, is filled out correctly.
2. All names should be provided in their full form rather than abbreviated, as many institutions will require documents in their extended form in the future.
3. The surname must be included if your child intends to study abroad, as this is a requirement in several countries.
4. The date of birth must be accurate in all aspects.
5. When submitting the data, ensure that the details provided match those in the passport, if one has been issued to your child.
6. Subjects must be entered with care in the LOC for both classes X and XII, as no changes will be accepted after the correction schedule has closed.
7. It is the parents’ responsibility to ensure that all data submitted for their child in the LOC is correct.
The LOC data correction window is designed to assist schools, parents, and students in ensuring that only accurate information is recorded in the LOC for the smooth administration of the examinations.
Once the window closes, there will be no opportunity for changes or corrections to the data.
For further information, candidates are encouraged to visit the official CBSE website.
