HTET 2026: Key Dates
The online application portal was opened on December 24, 2025, at 5 pm and will remain accessible until January 4, 2026, at midnight. Applicants will have the opportunity to pay the application fee until January 5, 2026. A short correction period will also be available from January 4 to January 5, 2026. The HTET 2026 examination is provisionally set to take place on January 17 and 18, 2026, with the date for the release of the admit card to be announced at a later time.
Eligibility and Levels of HTET 2026
HTET is organized at three distinct levels according to teaching eligibility. Level I is designated for Primary Teachers instructing Classes I to V, Level II is intended for Trained Graduate Teachers for Classes VI to VIII, and Level III is aimed at Post Graduate Teachers for Classes IX to XII. Applicants are required to fulfill the specified academic and professional qualification standards for the respective level(s) they select when completing the application form.
