The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has declared the results for the Intelligence Bureau (IB) Assistant Central Intelligence Officer (ACIO) Grade-II/Executive recruitment examination for the year 2025. Candidates can check their scores at mha.gov.in or may copy and paste the following link to download the IB ACIO result (g03.tcsion.com//per/g03/pub/726/EForms/image/ImageDocUpload/71161/2/8301730531.pdf)
The written examination/computer-based test (CBT) took place from September 16 to 18, 2025, at various centers across the country. According to the official notification, candidates whose roll numbers are listed in the merit list have been selected for the IB ACIO Tier-II examination, which is the subsequent phase of the selection process.
The IB ACIO Tier-I CBT evaluates candidates on general awareness, quantitative aptitude, reasoning, and English language proficiency, with the shortlisting for Tier-II being contingent upon performance in this initial stage.
The MHA has published the roll numbers of the shortlisted candidates in a PDF format on its official website. Only those candidates whose numbers are included in the list will be permitted to participate in Tier-II, which generally comprises a descriptive paper that assesses analytical skills, essay writing, and English comprehension. This descriptive paper holds considerable importance, as it measures candidates’ communication and critical-thinking abilities necessary for both field and desk positions within the Intelligence Bureau.
Candidates are encouraged to frequently check their registered email addresses and mobile numbers. The IB, in the result PDF, has indicated that shortlisted candidates will receive notifications via email and SMS regarding the availability of the Tier-II admit card.
The IB ACIO admit card will provide details such as the exam date, reporting time, venue information, and essential instructions pertaining to the examination. The MHA has yet to announce the schedule for the IB ACIO Tier-II, but it is anticipated to be released in the near future.
The recruitment process for IB ACIO consists of Tier-I, Tier-II, and an interview/personality assessment, which is succeeded by document verification and a medical examination. The final selection is determined by the overall performance across all stages.
