Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ is going to announce the JEE Advanced 2021 exam date and eligibility criteria for admission into IITs through a live session on January 7 at 6 PM. HRD Minister has informed the details regarding the live session through a tweet on his official Twitter handle.
“My dear students, I will announce the eligibility criteria for admission in #IITs & the date of #JEE Advanced on 7th Jan at 6 PM. Stay tuned!” said HRD Minister.
Candidates who have secure either a minimum score of 75% marks in Class 12 Board exams or rank among the top 20 percentile in their qualifying examinations to be eligible for IIT admissions. For SC/ST candidates the qualifying marks would be 65% in the Class 12/qualifying examination.
The authorities have aready relaxed the JEE Advanced 2021 eligibility criteria for IIT admissions due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The minister announced the JEE Main 2021 exam dates during one of his live webinars. This year, JEE Main 2021 will be held in four sessions – February, March, April, and May.
