The Office of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE) Kerala has extended the deadline for applying to the Kerala Management Aptitude Test (KMAT)-MBA 2025 session 1. Candidates can now apply for the exam until 3 p.m. on February 14 via cee.kerala.gov.in/kmatonline2025/. The previous deadline was February 10.
Application Fee
To apply for the exam, general category candidates must pay ₹1,000. SC candidates must pay an application fee of ₹500, whereas ST candidates are not required to pay anything. However, only Keralite candidates are eligible for reservations and fee reductions. There is no age limit for applying to the test.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates with at least a three-year Bachelor’s degree in Arts, Science, Engineering, Commerce, Management, or an equivalent discipline are eligible to take the KMAT. Those in the last year of qualifying examinations are also able to apply, as long as their results are released before the admission process begins.
The exam will consist of 180 questions with a maximum score of 720 marks.
About the Exam
Questions will be asked about the following topics:
- English Language Use and Reading Comprehension
- Quantitative Aptitude
- Data sufficiency and Logical Reasoning
- General Knowledge and Current Affairs
- Candidates will receive four marks for each accurate response, while one mark will be deducted from their total score for each incorrect response. There will be no marks granted or deducted for questions that are not attempted.
KMAT 2025 Pass Marks
These are the category-wise pass marks for KMAT 2025-
- General category/SEBC candidates: 10% of the total 720 marks (72 points or more).
- SC/ST/PD candidates: 7.5%.
Candidates who pass the entrance exam must then go through two more phases of selection for MBA admission: a group discussion and a personal interview. In the final selection procedure, the entrance test result will be weighted at 80%, with group discussion and personal interview each receiving 10%.
