Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) has initiated the registration for stray vacancy round for NEET UG counseling today. Interested candidates can still apply for the application form for the stray vacancy round for NEET UG counseling today by 12 pm. However, registered candidates can pay the admission fee till 3 pm.
Through NEET-UG stray vacancy round, as many as 2,463 vacant MBBS and BDS seats in AIIMS, VMMC, DU, AMU, BHU, deemed universities, and ESIC will be filled. The stray vacancy round of NEET MBBS/BDS counseling will be conducted in an offline mode by the respective deemed/central university. The National Medical Commission (NMC) has also extended the last date for MBBS admission in the country till January 15, 2021.
Aspirants must note that they do not have to pay any extra fee other than the registration fee to participate in the NEET 2020 stray vacancy round. During the stray vacancy round of NEET 2020 counseling, candidates will have to report to the respective deemed/central university in person. Candidates must carry all the necessary documents to the counseling center.
After closing the registration, the MCC will prepare the merit list of candidates who registered for the stray vacancy round. Candidates included in the merit list will be 10 times the number of vacant seats.
MCC will forward the stray vacancy round merit list to the respective institutions on January 7, 2021. Candidates included in the merit list will be required to report to the respective institution between January 7 to January 15, 2021, for offline seat allotment. The session of undergraduate medical courses will commence from February 2, 2021.
