The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Postgraduate Courses (NEET PG) 2025 has been postponed by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS). The ruling comes after the Supreme Court of India ordered that the exam be administered in a single shift in order to maintain fairness and transparency.
“We, therefore, direct the respondents to make necessary arrangements for holding the NEET-PG 2025 examination in one shift, duly ensuring that complete transparency is maintained and secure centers are identified and commissioned,” the Supreme Court said in its decision in the recent petition Aditi & Others vs. National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences & Others.
NEET PG 2025 will no longer be held in two shifts as originally scheduled, according to NBEMS’ confirmation of this decision.
Originally set for June 15, the NEET PG 2025 exam has been rescheduled. In order to accommodate all candidates in a single shift, NBEMS is working to set up extra testing locations and the required infrastructure. On the official websites, natboard.edu.in and nbe.edu.in, the updated exam date will be announced as soon as possible.
In order to gain admission to postgraduate medical programs (MD, MS, and PG Diploma) in India, NBEMS administers the national entrance exam known as NEET PG. For recent medical graduates looking to further their study in the area, it is a crucial entry point.
