The Staff Selection Commission has published the tentative vacancies list for SSC MTS 2025. Candidates who have submitted applications for the Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff and Havaldar (CBIC & CBN) Examination, 2025 can view the official announcement on the SSC’s website at ssc.gov.in.
According to the official announcement, there are a total of 8021 vacancies to be filled, which includes 6078 for MTS(NT) for candidates aged 18-25 years, 732 for MTS(NT) for those aged 18-27 years, and 1211 for Havaldar positions (in CBIC and CBN).
SSC MTS 2025: Instructions for downloading the tentative vacancies list
To obtain the tentative vacancies list, candidates should adhere to the following steps.
- Navigate to the official SSC website at ssc.gov.in.
- Click on the notice for the SSC MTS 2025 tentative vacancies list available on the homepage.
- A new PDF document will appear, allowing candidates to review the tentative vacancies information.
- Download the document and retain a hard copy for future reference.
The computer-based examination is scheduled to take place from September 20 to October 24, 2025. The examination will be conducted in Hindi, English, and 13 regional languages, which include (i) Assamese, (ii) Bengali, (iii) Gujarati, (iv) Kannada, (v) Konkani, (vi) Malayalam, (vii) Manipuri (Metei or Meithei), (viii) Marathi, (ix) Odia (Oriya), (x) Punjabi, (xi) Tamil, (xii) Telugu, and (xiii) Urdu.
The computer-based test will occur in two sessions—Session I and Session II—on the same day, and attendance in both sessions is compulsory. The examination will feature objective-type multiple-choice questions.
