The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) has announced that it will conduct a retest for the Hindi and Science subjects for the Class 10 board examinations on March 7 and 8, as confirmed by an official on Saturday.
The JAC had previously canceled the examinations for these two subjects on February 20 due to allegations of the papers being leaked on social media, according to the official. As per the notice released by the JAC, the Hindi examination is scheduled for March 7, followed by the Science examination on March 8.
In connection with the alleged paper leak, the Jharkhand Police have recently apprehended ten individuals.
The Class 10 (matriculation) and Class 12 (intermediate) board examinations commenced across Jharkhand on February 11, under stringent security measures. Officials reported that over 784,000 students are registered to participate in the examinations at 2,086 centers throughout the state.
