Delhi University has officially launched its website and published the information bulletin for undergraduate admissions for the academic year 2025-26. Prospective candidates can find detailed information at admission.uod.ac.in.
The admission process for undergraduate programs at Delhi University consists of two main components. Initially, candidates must take the Common University Entrance Test (CUET UG 2025). Subsequently, they are required to engage in various phases of the university’s Common Seat Allocation System for Undergraduate Programs (CSAS UG 2025).
Candidates should be aware of the following key points:
- Admission to all undergraduate programs at the University of Delhi will primarily rely on the results of CUET UG 2025, with the exception of the School of Open Learning (SOL), the Non-Collegiate Women Education Board (NCWEB), and foreign nationals.
- Applicants must have completed the Class 12 examination or its equivalent from a recognized board, university, or any foreign institution acknowledged as equivalent to the 10+2 system by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
- Candidates are required to take the CUET UG in the subjects they have studied in Class 12 or in subjects closely related to them. If a subject from Class 12 is not included in CUET UG, candidates must select a language or domain-specific subject that is similar.
- For instance, if a candidate has studied Biochemistry in Class 12, they must take Biology in CUET UG. To ensure relevance between the CUET UG examination and Class 12 subjects, at least 50 percent of the syllabus must align.
- Admissions will be determined solely based on a combination of language subjects, domain-specific subjects, and/or the General Aptitude Test (GAT) of CUET UG 2025, in accordance with the specific requirements of the programs offered by the university.
- Candidates are required to participate in the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) of Delhi University for undergraduate courses, accessible at admisison.uod.ac.in.
There is no stipulated minimum age requirement for admission to undergraduate programs at Delhi University and its affiliated colleges, with the exception of specific programs governed by regulatory bodies such as the Medical Council of India (MCI), All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Bar Council of India (BCI), National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), and Dental Council of India (DCI), which have established minimum age criteria.
Taking a gap year will not hinder admission to undergraduate programs. However, candidates in this situation must also take the CUET UG 2025 examination for entry into the academic year 2025-26.
Students are allowed to enroll in two regular degree programs concurrently, whether from the University of Delhi or another institution. Additionally, they may engage in part-time diploma or certificate courses offered by university departments, centers, or colleges.
