The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the final results for the Combined Graduate Level Examination (CGL) 2024. In conjunction with the results, the commission has also provided the cut-off marks categorized by post.
A total of 18,174 candidates have been provisionally recommended for appointment based on their merit and the preferences for posts they submitted. These candidates will next participate in the document verification process conducted by the relevant user departments.
The SSC announced the results for the CGL tier 1 examination on December 5, 2024, and the tier 2 examination was held in a computer-based test (CBT) format on January 18, 19, 20, and 31.
Regarding the SSC CGL result 2024, in cases where candidates have tied scores, the commission has established the following criteria for determining merit:
- Marks obtained in paper 2 for the positions of Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) and Statistical Investigator Gr. II (SI), if applicable.
- Marks in section 1 of paper 1 from the tier 2 examination.
- Date of birth, with older candidates receiving preference.
- Alphabetical order of candidates’ names.
The commission has withheld the final results for 1,267 candidates and has rejected, debarred, or canceled the applications of 253 candidates.
The SSC has stated that the document verification and appointment processes will be managed by the designated departments.
Candidates who have been recommended but do not receive any communication from their assigned user department within six months are advised to reach out to the department promptly.
Furthermore, the SSC has indicated that it will not create a reserve or waiting list for the SSC CGL 2024, and any unfilled positions will be carried over to the following year(s).
