The Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE) announced on Friday the top ten rank-holders for the Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations, approximately 1.5 months after the initial declaration of the board results, which only included the pass percentages.
On April 30, the TBSE released the results for both Class 10 and Class 12, reporting pass percentages of 86.53% and 79.29%, respectively. However, following a self-inspection and review of the results, the pass percentage for Class 10 increased to over 87%, while for Class 12, it reached 81%, as stated by TBSE president Dr. Dhananjoy Gan Choudhury.
In a statement to reporters at the TBSE office, Gan Choudhury mentioned that a total of 25 students achieved positions in the top ten merit list for Class 10, and another 20 students made it to the top ten merit list for Class 12.
This year, a total of 29,670 candidates participated in the Class 10 board examinations, comprising 13,861 males and 15,809 females, while 21,506 candidates, including 9,920 males and 11,586 females, appeared for the Class 12 board examinations.
In comparison, last year saw 33,739 Class 10 students and 25,350 Class 12 students take the board examinations.
While announcing the Class 12 toppers, the TBSE chief noted that Joydip Rudra Paul from PM Shri Kamini Kumar Singha Memorial Higher Secondary School secured the first position in the Class 12 examination with a total of 493 marks in Humanities.
Saptadipa Nath, a student from PM Shri Dharmanagar Government Girls’ Higher Secondary School, achieved second place with a total of 492 marks in the Science stream.
The third position was jointly held by Eshita Sen from PM Shri Jolaibari M.M Girls’ Higher Secondary School and Rakteem Debnath from Prachya Bharati Higher Secondary School, both scoring 490 marks in Humanities.
Tanusree Saha from Kalamchowra Higher Secondary School attained a total of 489 marks in the Humanities stream, securing the fourth position.
Anamika Debnath (Humanities) from Icharbil Higher Secondary School, Kriti Dey (Science) from Belonia Vidyapith Higher Secondary School, Arnab Basak (Science) from Sabroom Higher Secondary School, and Tapas Dey (Humanities) from PM Shri Kamini Kumar Singha Memorial Higher Secondary School secured the fifth position with a total of 488 marks.
Trisha Das, a Humanities student from Palatana Higher Secondary School, achieved a total of 487 marks, placing her in sixth position.
Swarnali Debnath (Science) from PM Shri Dharmanagar Government Girls’ Higher Secondary School, Trisha Paul (Humanities) from Hrishyamukh Higher Secondary School, and Taniya Khatun (Humanities) from Lakshmicherra Ramkrishna Higher Secondary School ranked seventh with a total of 486 marks.
Deepa Sarkar from Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Higher Secondary School, Mitu Nath from Avangchara Higher Secondary School, Reshmi Roy from Gandhigram Higher Secondary School, and Munni Begam from PM Shri Kamini Kumar Singha Memorial Higher Secondary School attained the eighth position by scoring a total of 485 marks. All of these students are from the Humanities stream.
Debalina Debnath from Ganki Higher Secondary School and Karan Karmakar from PM Shri Kamini Kumar Singha Memorial Higher Secondary School achieved the ninth position with a total of 484 marks in the Humanities stream.
Priya Saha from Shalgara Higher Secondary School attained the tenth position with a total of 483 marks in Humanities.
TBSE secretary Dr. Dulal Dey, during the announcement of the Class 10 toppers, stated that Antariksha Paul from Belonia Vidyapith Higher Secondary School secured the first position by scoring a total of 490 marks.
Indrani Bhowmik from Ramkrishna Vivekananda Vidyamandir, who scored a total of 489 marks, earned the second position.
Sumit Debnath from Vivekananda Shishu Niketan and Amit Das from Netaji Subhash Vidyaniketan jointly secured the third position with a total of 488 marks.
Deepjoy Paul from Mirza Higher Secondary School achieved the fourth position by scoring a total of 486 marks.
Anirban Debnath from Panisagar Holy Cross School, Eyesh Datta from Satchand Higher Secondary School, Bishal Sen from Pilak Public School, Adrit Ghosh from Netaji Subhash Vidyaniketan, and Tulika Chaudhury from Shankaracharya Vidyayatan Girls Class XII School achieved the fifth position with a total score of 485 marks.
Priyam Debnath from Tulamura Higher Secondary School, Susmita Dey from Brintak Siksha Niketan, and Deepshikha Karmakar from Shishu Niketan Higher Secondary School attained the sixth position in the board with a total of 484 marks.
Debajit Sarkar from Ananda Marga High School secured a total of 483 marks, placing seventh in the examinations.
Bithi Singha from PM Shri Baidyardighi Higher Secondary School, Dipjoy Sutradhar from Vivekananda Shishu Niketan, Kornili Debbarma from Tipprah Academy, and Debi Sen from PM Shri Sekerkote Higher Secondary School achieved the eighth position with a total of 482 marks.
