The Department of Technical Education in Andhra Pradesh commenced the online counselling process for admission to polytechnic courses in both engineering and non-engineering institutes on June 20. All candidates, irrespective of their rank, are permitted to pay the AP POLYCET 2025 processing fee online from June 20 to June 27. The fee is set at Rs 700 for OC and BC candidates, while SC and ST candidates are required to pay Rs 250. Candidates who successfully qualified in the AP POLYCET examination conducted on April 30 are eligible to register for the online web-based counselling and the offline document verification process. The department has established specific dates for the document verification process based on the ranks of the candidates.
The Andhra Pradesh Polytechnic Common Entrance Test (AP POLYCET), administered by the Department of Technical Education in Andhra Pradesh, serves as an entrance examination for admission into diploma programmes in engineering, non-engineering, and technology. These programmes are available at both government-aided and private polytechnic institutions, including those functioning as second-shift colleges within private engineering institutions throughout the state. The examination is conducted in an offline format.
AP POLYCET 2025: Counselling
The AP POLYCET Counselling process encompasses document verification, choice filling, seat allotment, and reporting to the respective institute. The Department of Technical Education will allocate seats to the candidates who have qualified in the AP POLYCET based on their obtained ranks, the choices they have filled, and the availability of seats.
The decentralized verification of certificates for SC/ST/BC/OC candidates participating in AP POLYCET 2025 is scheduled to occur from June 21 to June 28. The reporting time at the Help Line Centres (HLC) is established at 9 am each day. Candidates ranked from 1 to 15,000 are required to report on June 21, while those ranked from 15,001 to 32,000 should report on June 22. Candidates with ranks from 32,001 to 50,000 are expected on June 23, and those ranked from 50,001 to 68,000 must verify their certificates on June 24. Candidates ranking between 68,001 and 86,000 are to report on June 25. Furthermore, candidates with ranks from 86,001 to 1,04,000 are required to attend for certificate verification on June 26, while those with ranks from 1,04,001 to 1,20,000 should report on June 27. Finally, candidates ranked from 1,20,001 to the last rank must attend on June 28.
On the final day of the schedule, the options last selected by the candidates will be frozen, and candidates are advised to print out their selections. Only the options recorded on the server on the last day will be considered for seat allotment. The allotments will be published on the website – polycet.ap.gov.in on July 3 after 6 pm.
