The State Bank of India (SBI) has initiated the online registration process for the recruitment of Probationary Officers (PO) for the year 2025. Candidates who are interested and meet the eligibility criteria can submit their applications for SBI PO recruitment 2025 via the link available at sbi.co.in. The deadline for application submissions is July 14.
This year, SBI is offering 541 positions for PO recruitment, which includes 500 regular vacancies and 41 backlog vacancies.
Important dates for SBI PO 2025
Call letters for the preliminary examination are expected to be released during the third or fourth week of July 2025. The preliminary examination is scheduled to take place in July or August, with results to be announced in August or September.
Call letters for the main examination will be distributed in August or September, with the exam set for September. The results for the SBI PO main examination will be declared in either September or October.
The Psychometric Test, Interview, and Group Exercises are planned for October or November.
The final result for SBI PO 2025 will be announced in November or December.
Eligibility criteria and application fee for SBI PO 2025
Applicants must be at least 21 years old and not older than 30 years as of April 1, 2025. Relaxation of the upper age limit will be provided to candidates from reserved categories in accordance with the rules specified in the notification.
Candidates are required to hold a graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized university or an equivalent qualification acknowledged by the central government. Those in their final year or semester of graduation may also apply; however, if selected for the interview stage, they must present proof of having completed their graduation by September 30.
Candidates pursuing a dual degree must also provide evidence of passing their final examination by September 30.
Individuals with qualifications such as Medical, Engineering, Chartered Accountant, Cost Accountant, etc., are also eligible to apply.
The application fee for SBI PO is ₹750 for candidates belonging to the Unreserved, EWS, and OBC categories, while SC, ST, and PwBD candidates are exempt from this fee.
Candidates who have failed to repay any loans with banks, NBFCs, or financial institutions, including credit card debts, and have not settled their dues by the date of the offer letter will be disqualified from appointment. Nevertheless, candidates who have settled their dues by the date of the offer letter, but whose CIBIL status has not been updated by the joining date, must either update their CIBIL status or provide NOCs from their lenders. It is recommended that candidates verify their CIBIL score and status prior to submitting their application.
