Application forms for a second round of admissions to Classes 10 and 12 in Delhi government schools will be available starting next week for students who were unable to apply during the March process. According to a circular released by the Directorate of Education (DoE), eligibility is restricted to students residing in Delhi.
These admissions pertain to government schools operated by the DoE, excluding special institutions such as Rajkiya Pratibha Vikas Vidyalaya (RPVVs), Schools of Specialised Excellence, and Schools of Excellence. The circular indicated that application forms will be accessible from July 9, with the deadline for submission set for July 23.
Admit cards for the Common Admission Test will be distributed on July 30 at the respective schools where students submit their applications. The examination is scheduled for August 2, from 10 am to 12 noon, with results to be announced on August 6.
Schools have been instructed to finalize the admission process by August 30, as stated in the circular. To qualify for Class 12, students must have successfully completed Class 11 during the 2024–25 academic session with the necessary subjects. Additionally, their Class 10 marks must satisfy the minimum percentage required for their chosen stream, as mentioned in the circular.
There are certain relaxations in marks for students belonging to SC, ST, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) categories, minority groups, Kashmiri migrants, and those who have achieved positions in national games. Furthermore, specially-abled students are granted a 5 percent relaxation across all subjects.
