The Medical Council Committee (MCC) has announced an extension to the registration deadline for the first round of counselling for PwBD candidates. According to the updated schedule, the final date to complete the NEET UG registration is August 3, 2025. Several PwBD candidates contacted the Committee regarding delays in receiving certificates from designated disability centres; in light of this, the MCC has decided to extend the deadline. The seat allotment results for the NEET UG 2025 first round will be published on August 6.
Candidates who have not yet applied for the NEET UG counselling are encouraged to check the updated dates on the official MCC website at mcc.nic.in and proceed with their applications accordingly.
NEET UG 2025 Counselling: Procedure for online registration
Once registration commences on July 21, candidates may follow these steps to register:
Step 1: Navigate to the official website: mcc.nic.in
Step 2: Select the “UG Medical Counselling” section
Step 3: Register or log in using your NEET UG credentials
Step 4: Complete the application form and remit the processing fee
Step 5: Upload the required documents (NEET scorecard, photo ID, category certificate, etc.)
Step 6: Fill in and lock your preferred choices of colleges and courses
Step 7: Download the confirmation page for future reference
The registration period for Round-1 has been extended until 1 pm on August 3, with payment for the same being accepted until 4 pm on that day. Candidates are also permitted to finalize their choices until 11:59 pm on August 3. The choice locking window will be available from 6 pm to 11:55 pm on the same day.
Subsequently, seat processing for the NEET UG first round will take place between August 4 and August 5, 2025. The results for Round-1 counselling will be announced on August 6. Finally, candidates who receive seat allotments must report to their respective institutions between August 7 and August 11, 2025.
This counseling procedure will encompass 15% of the All India Quota seats available in medical and dental colleges. Furthermore, 17 AIIMS are providing approximately 2,000 MBBS seats, 507 BSc nursing seats across nine institutions, and nearly 14,000 seats in deemed universities.
