Delhi University has initiated its mid-entry admission window for undergraduate programs starting at 5 pm on Friday, enabling new candidates who missed previous rounds to apply for the ongoing academic session.
The university published its list of available seats on Thursday, after the latest upgrade round concluded. The mid-entry option, part of the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS), will be accessible until 4:59 pm on August 10.
Candidates who did not register previously or were unable to complete the second phase of admission can apply by paying a fee of Rs 1,000.
“This presents an opportunity for students who could not engage in the CSAS earlier for various reasons. Through mid-entry, they can now participate in the admission process,” stated a university official.
Recent data from Delhi University indicates that 71,130 students have already gained admission across 79 undergraduate programs offered in 69 colleges. The university has a total of 71,624 undergraduate seats available for the 2025-26 academic year.
During the previous allocation round, DU reopened its upgrade window from August 2-3. Among the eligible students, 34,069 sought a higher preference, while 35,889 opted to retain their current allocation. Consequently, 5,930 students were awarded upgraded seats.
Following the closure of the mid-entry window, Delhi University will publish its third allocation list on August 13. This will be succeeded by the first allocation lists for ECA, sports, and CW quotas on August 15. The university has confirmed that the entire undergraduate admission process will conclude by August 19.
The document verification and fee payment process for the latest upgraded allotments continued until August 7.
