The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has prolonged the online application period for positions within the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO), under the Ministry of Labour and Employment, until August 22, 2025. Candidates who are interested and meet the eligibility criteria may submit their applications via the official websites — upsc.gov.in or upsconline.nic.in.
This recruitment initiative is aimed at filling the roles of Enforcement Officer/Accounts Officer (56 positions) and Assistant Provident Fund Commissioner (74 positions). Individuals holding a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or an equivalent qualification are invited to apply.
Selection for the UPSC EPFO will be determined through a Combined Recruitment Test (CRT) followed by an interview, with the final merit being calculated based on a 75:25 ratio of CRT and interview scores. The CRT will be administered in an offline format (pen and paper), and the date for the examination will be announced later on the UPSC website.
The examination date will be communicated subsequently on the UPSC website. The tests will take place in 78 cities across India. There will be a limit on the number of candidates assigned to each city center, with the exception of Chennai, Dispur, Kolkata, and Nagpur. The allocation of centers will follow a “first-apply-first allot” principle, and once the capacity of a specific center is reached, it will be closed for further allotment.
Applicants who are unable to secure a center of their preference due to the capacity limit will need to select from the remaining available centers. Therefore, candidates are encouraged to apply early to increase their chances of obtaining their preferred center.
