The West Bengal Medical Counselling Committee (WBMCC) has revised the provisional state merit list for the WB NEET UG counselling 2025, particularly concerning the 85 percent state quota seats. A total of 11,178 candidates have been recognized as eligible to engage in the initial round of choice filling for admission into MBBS and BDS programs at both government and private medical colleges throughout West Bengal.
In addition, the WBMCC has published the seat matrix for the academic year 2025–26, indicating that there are 5,589 seats available in MBBS and BDS courses. The choice filling process has begun, and candidates are required to finalize their preferences by midnight on August 17 to ensure they secure their preferred seats.
WB Admission 2025: Procedure for filling choices?
Step 1: Navigate to the official WBMCC website–wbmcc.nic.in
Step 2: Choose West Bengal NEET UG Counselling 2025 and input your NEET UG roll number along with the security pin to log in.
Step 3: The dashboard will present the total number of seat options available according to your eligibility.
Step 4: Complete and organize your preferences from the provided list. You have the option to edit and rearrange the order of your selections as necessary.
Step 5: Once you are content, lock your final choice list. After locking, no additional modifications can be made.
Step 6: Download and retain a copy of your submitted choices for future reference.
As per the official timeline, the results for the West Bengal MBBS seat allotment 2025 will be announced on August 20, based on the preferences submitted by candidates during the choice filling phase. Those who are allotted seats must report for admission between August 21 and 23, during the hours of 11 am to 4 pm.
The registration for the second round of counselling is scheduled to commence on August 27. This round will be accessible to students who are either unhappy with their initial allotment or who did not register for the first round of state quota counselling.
