The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India has announced the datesheet for the ICAI CA January Exam 2026. This datasheet includes the examination dates for final, intermediate, and foundation courses. Candidates may view the schedule on the official ICAI website at icai.org.
According to the schedule, the final course examination for group 1 is set to take place on January 5, 7, and 9, 2025, while group 2 will occur on January 11, 13, and 16, 2026.
The intermediate course examination for group 1 is scheduled for January 6, 8, and 10, 2026, and group 2 will be conducted on January 12, 15, and 17, 2026. The foundation course examination is planned for January 18, 20, 22, and 24, 2026.
The international taxation assessment test is scheduled for January 13 and 16, 2025, and the technical exam for insurance and risk management will take place on January 9, 11, 13, and 16, 2026.
Papers 3 and 4 of the Foundation Examination will have a duration of 2 hours. Likewise, Paper 6 of the Final Examination and all papers of the International Taxation Assessment Test (INTT—AT) will last for 4 hours. However, all other examinations will be conducted over a duration of 3 hours. The exams will be held in a single shift, from 2 pm to 5 pm, and for some, from 2 pm to 6 pm.
No examinations are scheduled for January 14, 2026 (Wednesday), due to the Makar Sankranti / Magha Bihu / Pongal festivals celebrated across India.
The registration process for the ICAI CA January exam will begin on November 3, with the final date for submission being November 16, 2025. The last date for submitting online examination application forms with a late fee is November 19, 2025.
Candidates for the Foundation, Intermediate, and Final Examinations will have the option to choose between English and Hindi mediums for answering the papers. For further details, candidates can refer to the official ICAI website.
