The Central Board of Secondary Education has reopened the LOC portal for the CBSE Board Exam 2026. Schools are now able to complete the LOC form and submit it via the official CBSE website at cbse.gov.in.
The submission portal for the LOC form will remain open until October 8, 2025. Schools may submit the form with a late fee until October 11, 2025. This decision to reopen the LOC portal was made by the Board due to the fact that many schools have not yet submitted their LOCs within the designated timeframe.
The official notice states, “All Principals who have not yet submitted their LOC are hereby instructed to ensure that the LOC for their respective schools is completed and submitted within the specified timeframe, including late fees. The portal will close according to the aforementioned schedule, and no submissions will be accepted thereafter. Schools that fail to submit their LOCs by the final deadline will be fully responsible for non-compliance and any resulting consequences, which may include the ineligibility of their candidates to participate in the Board Examinations 2026.”
The Board has already published the tentative datesheet for Classes 10 and 12. As per the schedule, the main board examinations for Classes 10 and 12 will begin on February 17, 2026. The Class 10 main board exams will end on March 9, 2026, while Class 12 exams will conclude on April 9, 2026. On most days, examinations for both classes will take place from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM, although for certain subjects, they will be conducted from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
Approximately 45 lakh candidates are anticipated to participate in 204 subjects across Classes 10 and 12 from India and 26 other countries in 2026. For further details, candidates can visit the official CBSE website.
