The Odisha Public Service Commission has announced the release of the OPSC OCS Prelims Admit Card for 2025. Candidates intending to take part in the Odisha Civil Services (Preliminary) Exam 2024 can obtain their hall ticket from the official OPSC website at opsc.gov.in.
The Odisha Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination-2024 is scheduled to take place on October 12, 2025, across six zones: Balasore, Berhampur, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Jeypore, and Sambalpur. The examination will be conducted in two shifts: the first shift from 10 am to 12 noon and the second shift from 1.30 pm to 3.30 pm. Candidates belonging to the PwD category will receive an additional 40 minutes in each session, specifically from 10:00 A.M. to 12:40 P.M. and from 1:30 P.M. to 4:10 P.M.
The preliminary examination will consist of two compulsory objective-type papers (multiple choice questions), each carrying a maximum of 200 marks. Both Paper I and Paper II will be worth 200 marks.
There will be negative marking for incorrect responses to all questions, except for certain questions where negative marking will be integrated through varying marks awarded for the most appropriate and less appropriate answers. Each question will have four answer options. For any question answered incorrectly by a candidate, one-third (0.33) of the marks allocated to that question will be deducted as a penalty.
