The CUET UG Exam 2026 commences today, May 11, 2026. Candidates who are appearing for the exam can find the instructions for the exam day here. The National Testing Agency (NTA) will initiate the CUET UG Exam 2026 on May 11, 2026. This Common University Entrance Test, designed for undergraduate programs, will conclude on May 31, 2026. The examination will take place throughout India and in 14 international cities across 13 different countries.
A total of 1,568,866 candidates have registered for the CUET UG examination, with 674,352 registrations, approximately 43% of the total, coming from three states: Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Delhi.
The examination will occur in two shifts: the first shift will cover subjects such as English, Accountancy/Bookkeeping, Business Studies, Chemistry, Economics/Business Economics, Geography/Geology, History, and Political Science; the second shift will include English, Accountancy/Bookkeeping, Business Studies, Computer Science/Informatic Practices, Economics/Business Economics, History, Political Science, and Sociology.
CUET UG Exam 2026: Guidelines for Exam Day
Candidates who are set to take the examination must adhere to the following guidelines.
- Candidates must bring a printed admit card with a self-declaration form completed, two passport-sized photographs (identical to those uploaded in the online application), an original and valid photo ID proof (the same one submitted during the online application), and a transparent ball-point pen.
- Permissible items within the exam center include a transparent water bottle, a transparent ball-point pen, a printed copy of the admit card, two passport-sized photographs, an original and valid photo ID, diabetic-friendly snacks, and a PwD/PwBD certificate issued by an authorized medical officer.
- Candidates must adhere to the dress code, which stipulates wearing white or light-colored clothing. Acceptable footwear includes normal shoes, slippers, and low-heeled shoes.
- Articles or objects of faith, including religious items such as kalava, are allowed. Candidates who don religious or customary clothing are encouraged to arrive at the examination center well ahead of time for necessary frisking and verification.
- Candidates who are appearing for the examination must bring the same photo identification that was submitted during the online application process.
- It is essential for candidates to arrive at their designated examination center well in advance of the reporting time, as additional time will be needed for frisking, especially for those in religious or customary attire or wearing woolens.
- Candidates are strongly advised against bringing prohibited items, including mobile phones, electronic devices, smartwatches, calculators, wallets, geometry boxes, or any other unauthorized materials. The NTA will not offer any facilities for the secure storage of such items at the center.
