The Central Board of Secondary Education has officially announced the date for the CBSE Class 12 Supplementary Exam 2026. The supplementary examination for Class 12 is scheduled to take place on July 15, 2026. This exam will be conducted as a single-day event.
The following categories of students are permitted to participate in the supplementary examination:
- Candidates who successfully passed Class XII in 2026 and wish to enhance their performance in only one subject.
- Candidates who appeared for Class XII in 2026 and have been categorized under Compartment.
- Candidates who took the Class XII examination in 2025 and have also been placed in the Compartment Category. As three opportunities are provided to clear the Compartment, this examination will serve as the final chance for these students.
The Board will commence the submission of the List of Candidates (LOC) for the supplementary examination on June 2, 2026. Students aiming to improve their performance after passing the main examinations, as well as those categorized under Compartment in the main exam of 2026, are eligible to submit the LOC.
According to a press release from the Board, the LOC must be completed exclusively online, and no modifications, including the addition or removal of names or subjects, will be permitted once the LOC has been submitted.
The CBSE Class 12 Result for 2026 has been announced. This year, the overall pass percentage has decreased to 85.20%, reflecting a decline of 3.19 percentage points from the 88.39% recorded in 2025.
