NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially released the revised admit cards for candidates appearing in the rescheduled Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate (CUET UG) 2026 examination. Eligible students can now download their updated hall tickets from the official portal at cuet.nta.nic.in.
The rescheduling follows an NTA public notice issued on May 24, 2026, which announced the postponement of both shifts of the CUET UG exam originally slated for May 28, 2026. The decision was taken after a government notification adjusted the official public holiday date for Eid-ul-Adha (Bakrid).
Revised examination schedule:
- May 31, 2026: The first batch of rescheduled examinations will take place. Admit cards for this date are currently available for download.
- June 6 and June 7, 2026: The remaining deferred test papers are scheduled to be held on these dates. The NTA has confirmed that hall tickets for the June sessions will be made available shortly.
Steps to download the updated admit card:
- Visit the Portal: Go to the official website at
cuet.nta.nic.in. - Access Login: Click on the dedicated link for downloading the “CUET UG 2026 Rescheduled Exam Admit Card”.
- Enter Credentials: Input your unique registration application number and your password or date of birth.
- Save & Print: Review the updated center and shift allocation details on your dashboard, download the PDF, and print a clear physical copy for exam day.
Key testing statistics and guidelines:
- Massive Turnout: A total of 15,68,866 candidates have registered for the national-level entrance exam this year. The flexible test design allows students to choose up to five subjects, generating approximately 67.5 lakh test instances overall across 12,906 unique subject combinations.
- Complex Management: To accommodate the vast array of choices, the NTA is administering the exam across 35 shifts nationwide, dynamically matching a candidate’s preferred city, subject combination, and time slot. Roughly 43% of the total registration volume stems from Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Delhi, placing high demand on computer-based testing infrastructure in these regions.
