The University of Mumbai (MU) has declared Final Year Exam Schedule 2021 for Under Graduate (UG) and Post Graduate (PG) courses. For UG Degree Programs examinations are scheduled online from 6 to 21 May 2021. However, examinations for regular students who have backlog in Semester I to IV are scheduled from 15 April to 5 May 2021. For the Postgraduate Management Programs, Semester 3 (backlog) and Semester 4 examinations are scheduled from 3 May to 20 May 2021.
Degree colleges will conduct practical exams, projects and viva-voce from 5 to 15 April 2021. These examinations will be held via Zoom app, Google Meet, Skype or through telephone, if required. This year due to Covid-19 Pandemic examinations will be held online. “Lead colleges among cluster colleges will be responsible for conducting the last semester examinations,” says a Mumbai University statement.
The final-semester theory paper examinations of undergraduate programs (Arts, Commerce and Science) will comprise of 50 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). Each question will carry one mark. For Engineering, Pharmacy and MCA programs, the question paper will comprise of 40 MCQs and 40 descriptive questions. For Law Programs, 10 MCQs for a total of 30 marks and 30 marks worth of descriptive questions will be asked.
The Mumbai University has also asked colleges to conduct surveys to know if students will be able to write examinations online. If a student is unable to appear in the examination due to technical issues for example internet examining authorities have been asked to create arrangements for the same.
