The School Education Department, Telangana has announced that all SSC or Class 10 students will directly pass to Class 11. The Telangana government decided to cancel SSC exams in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic. Students can check their marks at the official websites at bse.telangana.gov.in and results.cgg.gov.in.
An official notice released on Telangana SSC Result 2021 says, “Government hereby accords permission to the Director of Government of Examination, Telangana to declare the results as a pass for all the students of class 10 studying in government, aided, private unaided and all schools during the academic year 2020-2021,”.
The government has reviewed the Covid-19 pandemic situation in the state, and it has been decided to award grades considering their performance in the internal assessment marks for 20 percent (one formative assessment was conducted instead of two formative assessments due to the Covid-19 pandemic situation) and scale up to 20 percent of internal marks to 100 percent marks.
The decision was taken by Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao after a review meeting with senior officials. Last year too, the Chief Minister took a surprise decision to cancel the SSC exams and declare all the students passed.
Special Chief Secretary Chitra Ramchandran, in an order, said the government decided to cancel the exams to be held from May 17. The decision of the CBSE to pass all the 10th class students apparently made the move easier for the government.
The government has already cancelled exams of classes 1 to 9 and the students will go to their next class automatically.
