Indian Institute of Science Bangalore, IISc has extended the registration last date for JAM 2021. The Joint Admission Test for Masters 2021 registration date has been extended till May 27, 2021. Interested candidates can visit to the official website JAM on JOAPS portal at joaps.iisc.ac.in to apply for the exam.
Candidates who have qualified the examination can apply for provisional admission to MSc (Two Year), Joint MSc-PhD, MSc-PhD Dual Degree, and other Post-Bachelor’s Degree programs at the IITs and to the Integrated Ph.D. programs at IISc by filling up the admission forms while mentioning their choice of institution and programs.
The first admission list will release on June 16, the second list on July 1, and the third or final admission list will release on July 16, 2021.
Eligibility Crtieria for IIT-JAM 2021
A Bachelor’s degree with aggregate marks or CGPA/CPI without rounding-off (taking into account all subjects, including languages and subsidiaries, all years combined) should be at least 55% or 5.5 out of 10 for General/OBC-NCL/EWS category candidates, and 50% or 5.0 out of 10 for SC/ST and PwD category candidates.
For IIT Delhi’s M.Sc. Mathematics program (1302), Minimum Educational Qualifications for engineering graduates/students are removed, and these candidates will be admitted based on their JAM rank only. Read the admission brochure for full details.
How to apply to JAM 2021:
• Visit the official site of JOAPS portal on joaps.iisc.ac.in.
• Enter the enrolment ID and password and click on submit.
• Fill in the application form and make the payment of application fees.
• Once done, click on submit.
• Your application has been submitted.
• Download the confirmation page and keep a hard copy of the same for further need.
IIT-JAM Exam Pattern
JAM 2021 will have seven Test Papers, namely, (i) Biotechnology (BT), (ii) Chemistry (CY), (iii) Economics (EN), (iv) Geology (GG), (v) Mathematics (MA), (vi) Mathematical Sciences (MS) and (vii) Physics (PH). Economics (EN) paper is added new this year.
All the seven Test Papers of JAM 2021 will be of entirely objective type, with three different patterns of questions, namely (i) Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ), (ii) Multiple Select Questions (MSQ), and (iii) Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions.
