Centre of Federal Studies, Jamia Hamdard has launched a new program on M.A. (Public Policy and Governance) for the ongoing session 2021-22. The new science of public policy draws considerable strengths from narrative structures, contestations, and engagements of people with the governance system.
Keeping in view, the Central of Federal Studies Jamia Hamdard came forward to launch a program on M.A. (Public Policy and Governance) which holds great potential on research and publication about political, constitutional, legal, administrative, fiscal, economic, historical, and philosophical issues.
Duration and of the course
M.A. (Public Policy and Governance) at Jamia Hamdard is a 2-year course that gives a holistic understanding of various avenues of policymaking. A course is designed keeping in focus educating students on the social, political, and economic needs of the world and the knowledge required to draft policies that are actually beneficial to people.
From a basic understanding of the law and political philosophy to in-depth guidance on quality research and data analytics, the course is filled with a variety of intriguing subjects, says Vice-Chancellor, Jamia Hamdard Prof. M. Afshar Alam.
About the course
the course is designed to train students and stakeholders both in the fields of policy designs and governance models. This in a way is a departure from the hitherto approach to public policy studies. Most of the institutions engaged in public policy follow a quantitative approach, whereas the course designed at Jamia Hamdard lays significant emphasis on qualitative measures of policy analysis, paradigm development, and concepting data into a grand theory of public policy adds, Course Coordinator and Professor of Federal Studies & Political Science.

Duration: Two Years (4 Semesters)

Eligibility: 45% marks in aggregate in the Bachelor’s examination recognized by the Statutory Bodies of India.
Selection Procedure: On the basis of merit determined by marks in the respective qualifying examination (up to 4th semester for 3 year programme).
