The Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE Term-1 Board Exams 2022 for Classes 10, 12 will commence from November 17 and 16, respectively. The board will upload the admit cards, other details such as the examination center, customized OMR sheets, permitted items in the exam, guidelines to prevent COVID-19, etc. for Class 10, 12 students on November 9 on the official website at cbse.gov.in. The board has released the timetable for term-1 exams for both classes.
After the Punjab government opposed CBSE’s decision of putting the “Punjabi” subject as of minor, the board changed the classification of subjects from major and minor to ‘Subjects offered by all schools’ and ‘subjects offered by fewer schools’.
The official notification reads that CBSE is offering 114 subjects for Class 12 students and 75 subjects for Class 10. If the examination of all subjects is conducted, the entire duration of exams would be about 40-45 days. Therefore, to avoid the learning loss of students, CBSE would conduct exams of only ‘subjects offered by all schools.
