Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) will be held on January 31, 2021. Earlier, the CTET examination was scheduled to be held on the 5th of July this year but was postponed due to administrative reasons.
The Central Board of Secondary Education- CBSE in a statement said that to maintain social distancing and other safety measures, the examination will now be conducted in 135 cities. The new examination cities include Lakhimpur, Nagaon, Begusarai, Gopalganj, Purnia, Rohtas, Bilaspur, Hazaribagh, Jamshedpur, Ludhiana, Ambedkar Nagar, Bijnor, Bulandshahar, Gonda, Mainpuri, Pratapgarh, Shahjahanpur, Sitapur and Udham Singh Nagar. A list of cities is also available on CTET website www.ctet.nic.in.
“Every effort will be made to accommodate candidates in the cities opted by them but if the situation arises, they can be allotted any city other than the four cities opted by them,” CBSE has said.
Keeping in view the difficulty faced by candidates due to COVID-19, the Board has allowed candidates to change their option of the city from which they wish to appear for the exam. The option to change the exam city will open from November 7 and candidates can exercise their options till November 16.
