The Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE) at Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) has published its prospectus for the academic session 2025–26 and has commenced admissions for various programmes offered in distance and online modes. Eligible candidates may register on the official website at jmi.ucanapply.com.
Last week, the university unveiled the prospectus, presented by the Vice Chancellor, Prof Mazhar Asif, and the Registrar, Prof Md Mahtab Alam Rizvi, in the presence of CDOE Dean Prof M Moshahid Alam Rizvi and members of the Prospectus Committee, as stated in the official notice.
JMI has clarified details regarding faculty recruitment. This year, the centre’s admission cycle encompasses postgraduate degrees in Hindi, Urdu, English, Education, Geography, History, Islamic Studies, Political Science, Public Administration, Sociology, Commerce, MBA, and MA in Human Resource Management.
Undergraduate programmes available include BEd, BA, BCom, BBA, and BCIBF. Additionally, CDOE offers postgraduate diplomas in Guidance and Counselling and Geoinformatics, along with advanced diplomas in seven specialized fields, namely — Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Public Policy and Governance, International Relations and Global Governance, Educational Media Production, Mass Media in Hindi, Mass Media in Urdu, and Taxation.
This year, two new certificate programmes—Information Technology and Computer Hardware and Network Technology—have been introduced.
Prospective applicants can find the detailed prospectus and online application forms on the JMI Controller of Examinations website at jmicoe.in. Applications for programmes that do not require an entrance test will remain open until 31 August 2025. For MBA and B.Ed. programmes, which necessitate entrance tests, the deadline for applications is 21 August 2025.

Vice Chancellor Prof. Mazhar Asif proposed that the center broaden its learner support network throughout the nation and enhance enrollment in accordance with the National Education Policy. “The objective should be to connect with learners in every region,” he stated, emphasizing the significance of improving access.
