The Association of Minority Professional Academic Institutes (AMPAI) has declared that the Common Entrance Examination for Master’s programmes (CEE-AMPAI-2025-WB) is scheduled for August 24. Candidates can access the exam date and further information on the official website at ampai.in/ampai-pg.
This state-recognised examination, conducted under the auspices of the Department of Higher Education, Government of West Bengal, facilitates admission to two-year regular MTech, MPharm, MBA, and MCA programmes at five institutions affiliated with AMPAI throughout West Bengal.
The examination prioritizes Sikh minority candidates. Nevertheless, any remaining seats will be open to qualified students from all religions, castes, or categories across India. “Our objective is to ensure that meritorious students, particularly from minority communities, have equal access to high-quality technical education,” stated CEE-AMPAI Secretary Sardar Sohan Singh.

WB CEE-AMPAI 2025 PG: Exam pattern and marking scheme
For the MTech programme, candidates will encounter 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) spanning various engineering fields, including Automobile Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication, Food Technology, Information Technology, and Mechanical Engineering.
Each question will be valued at one mark, culminating in a total of 150 marks to be completed within three hours. In the MPharm examination, there will be 100 MCQs worth one mark each and 25 MCQs worth two marks each, resulting in a total of 150 marks to be completed in three hours.
The MCA examination will comprise sections on aptitude and mathematics: 50 questions in aptitude (one mark each), 60 questions in mathematics (one mark each), and 20 questions in mathematics (two marks each), aggregating to 150 marks.
The MBA examination will feature 150 MCQs encompassing data interpretation, English, general knowledge, numerical ability, and reasoning, each carrying one mark. There will be no negative marking across any of the papers.

WB CEE-AMPAI 2025 PG: Examination Centres
The examination will take place in various cities across four states. In West Bengal, it will be conducted in Kolkata (specifically in Dumdum and Bhowanipore), Agarpara, Sodepur, Kalyani, Asansol, and Siliguri. In addition to West Bengal, examination centres will also be established in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand; Patna, Bihar; and Agartala, Tripura.
