Teachers’ Day 2021 was celebrated yesterday across the country to recognize those who devote their lives to shaping young minds. Indian President Ram Nath Kovind took this opportunity to commemorate some of these unique teachers on this occasion.
President Kovind bestowed the National Teachers’ Award 2021 on 44 such unique educators, who touched the lives of many students and motivated them to pursue their education. The president also applauded these teachers for their exemplary work in the field of education.
The award ceremony for these teachers was conducted yesterday by the Ministry of Education, where a documentary film on all the 44 teachers was shown to spread the word about their unique ideas and innovative methods of teaching.
During the ceremony, President Kovind addressed the teachers and appreciated their hard work in changing the education and schooling system. He further said that all teachers need to keep in mind the all-around development of the children.
As per media reports, he said, “Teachers should keep in mind that every student has different capability, talent, and psychology, social structure, and background. Hence, they should focus on all-round development of each child in accordance with the child’s needs, interests, and capabilities.”
