Online courses by IIT where JEE scores are not required

Getting admission into the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) without cracking the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is impossible right? But if we say that you can get admission into IITs without appearing for JEE then? Yes! You can be admitted to IITs without JEE in certain short-duration and certificate courses. If you want to know what are those courses and their fee structure, then continue to read the article:

IIT Madras: BSc Data science

Starting the new age course, data science, you can do this course from IIT Madras without taking any entrance examination. All you need is to have Class 10 level maths skills and must have passed Class 12, but here comes a catch. After one month, the Madras-based institute will conduct a qualifier exam.

Interestingly, there is no age limit or stream restrictions to join the course. After the qualifier round, students will get who cracked the exam will then be admitted to the foundation stage.

“The course is being offered in three different stages – the foundational programme, the diploma programme, and the degree programme. Students will have the option to exit from the program and receive a certificate, diploma, or degree depending on how far they got. Interested students will be required to pay the fee for the entrance exam.” read the website of the IIT Madras.

IIT Kanpur: AIML with Python

IIT Kanpur is offering a certification programme on Python for artificial intelligence, machine learning, and deep learning. The programme will include real-world assets like Numpy, Linalg, Matploylib, Pandas, Scikit Learn, Tensorflow, and Keras. This 4-week online certificate programme is for scholars, students, faculty members, industry professionals and R and D staff aspiring to get exposure and learn hands-on implementation.

Candidates don’t require any prior experience in programming. The programme will start on December 1 and will conclude on December 27. Aspiring candidates can visit the website to learn more about the certificate programme — iitk.ac.in/mwn/AIML/programme.html.

IIT Roorkee: Certificate Programme in Generative AI & Machine Learning

IIT Roorkee along with iHub Divya Sampark has introduced a certificate programme in generative AI and machine learning. The fee of the 11-month-long programme is Rs 1,34,999 with a few seats available. The course will include live virtual classes led by industry experts, interactive, hands-on projects within integrated labs, self-paced video content, and collaborative learning with peers.

Students will also get a two-day campus immersion programme at IIT Roorkee. Professionals, young graduates, engineers, project managers, and data professionals can apply to the course.

IIT Delhi: UI UX Design

The Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi has started a certificate programme course on UI, and UX design. The six-month course will start on November 23 with a course fee of Rs 1,50,000 + GST.

Students with a graduate degree and a year of experience are eligible for the course. From capstone projects to affinity mapping, card sorting to ecosystem mapping, and others, the course will give a complete understanding of the topic.

Candidates after enrollment who score at least 60 per cent marks overall and have a minimum attendance of 50 percent will receive a certificate of successful completion from CEP, IIT Delhi, however, if the candidate fails to score less than 60 per cent then they will be awarded a certificate of participation.

IIT Kanpur: Certificate programme in Cloud Computing and DevOps

Kanpur-based Institute will start a course on cloud computing and DevOps. The 8-month-long course is in collaboration with E & ICT Academy. The fee of the course is Rs 1,49,998 with no cost EMI benefit.

A candidate must have completed his or her graduation with at least 50 per cent score. Non-programming students can also apply for the courses. Students will get 30+ hands-on projects with capstone in 3 domains. To learn more about the course students can visit the website, ifacet.iitk.ac.in.
