The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) registration deadline has been extended. Interested candidates can register online for GATE 2025 at gate2025.iitr.ac.in by October 3. GATE is an entrance test for admission to master’s and doctoral programmes and recruitment by some public sector undertakings.
Several public sector undertakings including Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL) and Grid Controller of India Limited (GRID-INDIA) will use the GATE 2025 results to recruit candidates.
While the GATE 2025 results of papers in civil engineering (CE), chemical engineering (CH), electronics and communication engineering (EC), electrical engineering (EE), instrumentation engineering (IN) and mechanical engineering (ME) test papers for recruitment in NPCIL, the results of electrical engineering (EE) paper will be used in the recruitment of GRID-INDIA.
The GATE 2025 exam will be held on the weekends of February 1, 2, 15, and 16.
Direct recruitment to Group-A level posts in the central government including senior field officer (tele), senior research officer (crypto) and senior research officer (S&T) in cabinet secretariat are also done based on a valid GATE score.
