The Class XII examination results were announced by the Council of Higher Secondary Education Manipur (COHSEM) at its office in Imphal, achieving an impressive overall pass percentage of 94 percent. These results came out less than a month after the exams concluded.
The examinations took place between February 17 and March 26. Out of 29,065 enrolled students, 28,909 sat for the exams at 112 different centers across the state. Among these, 74 centers were situated in six valley districts and 38 in ten hill districts. Of the students who appeared, 27,175 passed the examination successfully.
Students participated in three different streams: Science, Arts, and Commerce. In the Science stream, Riya Khwairakpam from Comet School in Changangei Uchekon claimed the top spot with a score of 490 out of 500. The Arts stream was topped by Keisham Hannah Devi of Enlighten Knowledge Higher Secondary School in Sangakpham, who achieved 479 marks. In the Commerce stream, Warepam Lidia Devi from TG Higher Secondary School in Imphal earned the highest score of 463 out of 500.
Officials reported that the pass percentage for students from government institutions was 89.95 percent, while non-government institutions had a pass rate of 95.66 percent.
Non-government institution students excelled in both the Science and Arts streams, while the Commerce stream was led by a student from a government institution.
Previously, five individuals were arrested by the Cyber Crime Unit of Manipur Police in relation to the question paper leak for the 2025 Higher Secondary Examination.
During the result announcement, N Praveen Singh, Secretary (Education-School) of the Government of Manipur, stated, “I commend the officials of the Council for releasing the examination results promptly within a month. This timely release will enable students to pursue higher studies without any delays, assisting them in establishing a successful career.”
