CLAT 2025 Result Announcement: What are the next steps?
Eligible candidates will be invited to engage in the admissions counselling process based on the rank list and the admissions matrix provided by each NLU. Candidates are required to log into their CLAT account on the Consortium of NLUs website to confirm their invitation for counselling during each round.
The registration for the admissions counselling process will commence at 1 pm on June 11 and will conclude at 5 pm on June 13. Candidates must submit a minimum of 15 preferences. They are permitted to modify their preferences as many times as necessary until the counselling registration closes. Candidates belonging to the general category will need to pay Rs 30,000 for the counselling process, while those from the ST/SC/OBC/BC/EWS/PWD categories will be required to pay Rs 20,000.
Each candidate who is allocated a seat at any NLU has the option to choose from ‘freeze’, ‘float’, or ‘exit’ during a counselling round. To ‘freeze’ their seat in the first, second, and third rounds of counselling, candidates must pay a non-refundable confirmation fee of Rs 20,000 within the specified timeframe.
If a candidate has not received their preferred NLU and desires to maintain the possibility of securing a seat at a more preferred NLU, they may choose the ‘Float’ Option. If a candidate determines at any time after completing the registration process that they no longer wish to participate in the counselling process, they have the option to ‘Exit’ the admissions counselling process.
