Teachers from both government and private schools in Delhi will participate in a new series of structured online training sessions, as the government has reinstated several professional development courses for the ongoing academic year.
The State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) has declared the continuation of NISHTHA (National Initiative for School Heads’ and Teachers’ Holistic Advancement) courses, in addition to General Continuous Professional Development (CPD) and nano courses for teachers, school leaders, and teacher educators across government, aided, unaided, and private institutions.
As part of the NISHTHA initiative, courses will be available on Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) and Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) in English, Hindi, and Urdu, emphasizing the enhancement of classroom practices at the foundational level in accordance with the National Education Policy, as stated.
SCERT has indicated that General CPD courses will encompass a broad spectrum of contemporary topics, including cyber hygiene, social media safety, cyber crime, digital wellness, inclusive education, instructional design for the integration of techno-pedagogy, media literacy, financial safety, data privacy and protection, environmental issues such as e-waste, action research, and the utilization of open educational resources.
Additionally, nano courses focusing on cyberspace safety and related subjects will also be offered, as mentioned. Teachers can register for the courses via the DIKSHA portal, where all modules are accessible in digital format, according to the board.
The platform offers video lessons, text-based learning materials, and assessments, enabling participants to complete the courses at their own pace within the designated timeline, as stated.
Enrollment for all courses will remain open until March 10, 2026, while the completion deadline for the courses is set for March 15, 2026, according to SCERT.
