CTET is administered for candidates aspiring to achieve eligibility for teaching positions in central government schools, including Kendriya Vidyalayas, Navodaya Vidyalayas, and other institutions that accept CTET scores. The examination will be conducted in 27 languages across 132 cities nationwide.
Paper I is designed for individuals aiming to instruct students in Classes 1 to 5, whereas Paper II caters to those who plan to teach Classes 6 to 8. Candidates who wish to teach across Classes 1 to 8 are permitted to take both papers.
According to CBSE regulations, candidates who achieve a score of 60 percent or higher in the examination will be deemed CTET qualified. Nevertheless, merely qualifying for the CTET does not ensure employment, as it is only one of the criteria for teacher recruitment.
