NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially commenced the online registration process for the Joint CSIR UGC NET June 2026 examination. Eligible candidates who wish to apply for the national-level exam can now submit their applications through the official portal at csirnet.nta.nic.in.
The examination will be conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode across five scientific disciplines: Chemical Sciences; Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Sciences; Life Sciences; Mathematical Sciences; and Physical Sciences. It serves to determine eligibility for the award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), appointment as Assistant Professor, and admission to PhD programs.

- Online Registration Window: May 27, 2026, to June 19, 2026 (until 11:50 PM)
- Last Date for Fee Payment: June 20, 2026 (until 11:50 PM)
- Application Correction Window: June 22, 2026, to June 23, 2026
- Examination Dates: July 17 and July 18, 2026 (Conducted in two shifts: 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon and 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM)

- General / Unreserved: ₹1,150
- General-EWS / OBC-NCL: ₹600
- SC / ST / PwD / Third Gender: ₹325
Steps to submit the online application:
- Visit Portal: Go to the official website at
csirnet.nta.nic.in. - New Registration: Click on the registration link on the homepage, fill in your personal details, and generate a password.
- Complete the Form: Log in using your system-generated application ID to fill out academic details, select your exam city preferences, and choose your specific subject.
- Upload Documents: Upload properly scanned copies of your passport-sized photograph and signature in the prescribed formats.
- Fee Payment & Submission: Remit the application fee online using net banking, credit/debit card, or UPI, and download the final confirmation page for future reference.
