Indian Air Force has released a new notification about the recruitment for Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT). The Online applications are invited for the courses commencing in January 2022 for grant of Short Service Commission (SSC) in Flying Branch and Permanent Commission (PC) and Short Service Commission (SSC) in Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical).
Interested candidates will be able to apply for th application form from 01 December 2020 and the last date for filling up the application form is 30 December 2020.
To apply for the exam, visit the official website of AFCAT at www.careerindianairforce.cdac.in or www.afcat.cdac.in. Selected candidates in AFCAT 2021 shall be as Commissioned Officers in Flying and Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) branches.
Graduates in any discipline from a recognized University with least 60% marks in total and should have passed Mathematics and Physics at 10+2 level and Graduation with least three years degree course in any discipline from a recognized University with a least of 60% marks or equivalent. Alternatively should have B.E / B.Tech degree with a minimum of 60% marks can apply for the exam.
The age limit for Flying Branch is 20 to 24 years as of 01 January 2022 i.e. born between 02 January 1998 to 01 January 2002 (both dates inclusive) and for Ground Duty (Technical/Non-technical) Branches is 20 to 26 years as of 01 January 2022 i.e. born between 02 January 1996 to 01 January 2002 (both dates inclusive). Along with this Candidates below 25 years of age should be unmarried at the time of commencement of the course. Widows/ Widowers and divorce (with or without encumbrances) below 25 years of age are also not eligible.
The selection will be done on the basis of AFCAT written examination, Officers Intelligence Rating Test & Picture Perception and Discussion test, Psychological test, and Group tests / Interview.
