All India Council for Technical Education has released the revised AICTE academic calendar for 2021-22. The calendar is available on the official website of AICTE, i.e., aicte-india.org. The calendar is divided into three sections. The first one is for the technical institutions, the second one is for the standalone PGDM/PGCM institutions, and the third section is for the institutions with OLD/Online Program/Courses.
As per the calendar, the council will close the Grant of Approval to technical institutes, standalone PGDM/ PGCM courses, and institutions offering ODL/ Online Courses for this academic year on June 30, 2021. Further, the last date of the Grant of Affiliation by the university or board is July 15, 2021.
The academic calendar further states that the last date for commencement of classes for the existing students of the Technical courses is September 1, 2021. While the commencement of classes for existing and new students in standalone PGDM/PGCM institutions will be done from August 2, 2021.
The notice further states that all AICTE approved universities and institutes are requested to follow the AICTE/UGC guidelines on examinations issued from time to time in view of the Covid-19 pandemic. And, the classes may start in online/offline or blended mode following the prescribed protocols/guidelines related to the pandemic.
