Notably, National Law University Delhi will administer entrance exams for undergraduate and graduate admission in the academic year 2026–2027.
There are 120 places available for the B.A.LL.B.(HONS.) Program in undergraduate courses (110 + 10). To apply for the UG program, candidates must have passed the Senior Secondary School Examination (10+2 system) or an equivalent test with 45% of the possible points (42% for OBC and 40% for SC/ST). Additionally, applicants may potentially be students taking the 12th standard yearly exams in 2025.
However, according to the official announcement, if there are fewer than 100 candidates in any test location, the test center will not be established there, and the candidate would be assigned to the test city of their second or third choice.On the other hand, 81 places (70 + 10 + 1) are available for the LL.M. (ONE YEAR) NON-RESIDENTIAL Program in the Postgraduate course. applicants must have earned 50% of the possible points in an LL.B. or an equivalent law degree (45% for SC/ST/PD applicants) in order to be eligible. Applicants may apply if they plan to sit for the 2024 final year LL.B. annual exam.

In order to apply for AILET 2026, candidates must submit a Rs. 3,000 application fee. The cost is ₹1000 for candidates who are PwD and SC/ST.
The online application cost is waived for women and SC/ST candidates who are below the poverty line (BPL).
