The Amazon.com, Inc. has started Amazon Future Builders Program (AFBP) for candidates studying in Business Schools in India. The AFBP comprises of two-month incubator period and a 24-30 month period of domain expertise in particular Lines of Business (LoBs). The students will receive training in learning, training, networking, and mentorship.
The first year MBA students interested in leadership roles at Amazon can apply for this program. Interested candidates can apply for summer or autumn internship and can qualify for a pre-placement offer (PPO) after successful completion of internship.
The students in the final year / semester of MBA program can also write application for direct hiring through placement cell. The AFPB will be offered at premier B-Schools in India starting with the FY21 final placement season.

We have worked backwards from the business needs to curate a student hiring program which offers a unique value proposition. AFBP is designed to transform students into well-rounded business leaders who demonstrate the ability to think critically, solve complex business problems and are well assimilated into our peculiar culture which will enable them to build long term career with Amazon” said Swati Rustagi, Director, HR, Amazon India.
During the eight-week incubator period, candidates will learn about AWS, consumer, HR, advertising, devices, operations, finance and video. Students will also learn about Amazon’s ‘Day 1’ philosophy, the company culture, and get acquainted with the processes and mechanisms that Amazonians use every day, Amazon said.
To apply for AFPB program students can go to official website amazon.jobs or write application through placement cell.
The MBA candidates who will join Amazon under AFPB program are eligible for promotions anytime during the incubation period if recommended by management. There is no experience needed for graduating MBA students.
