The Andhra Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (APBSE) has hosted the link to AP NMMS admit card 2023 on the official website, bse.ap.gov.in. The board will conduct the National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship (NMMS) exam 2023 on December 3.
The scholarship is awarded by the Ministry for Human Resource Development to 1,00,000 students across the country, of which 4,087 scholarships will be allotted to students of Andhra Pradesh. These scholarships have been distributed among the districts on the basis of enrollment in Class 7 and 8 and child population for each academic year.
The selected student will receive a sum of Rs 12,000 per annum for which the selected student shall have to open a joint Savings Bank Account with their parents in any nationalized bank that has a core banking facility or ESC facility. Accounts other than the Savings bank will be rejected at the time of disbursement of the scholarship.
Students studying in schools operated by the government, local body, municipal, aided schools, and model schools (without residential facilities) are eligible for the exam. The household income of the students should not exceed Rs 3,50,000 per annum.
The students will get three hours to attempt the mental ability test and scholastic aptitude test. Students from general, OBC, and physically handicapped categories will have to secure 40% marks to qualify the examination. Those from SC and ST categories will have to get 32% marks in the NMMS 2023 exam. The student will have to qualify both the tests i.e. MAT and SAT, with at least 40% marks in aggregate taken together for these two tests.
