The Jawaharlal Nehru Technical University (JNTU) Kakinada has declared the Andhra Pradesh Engineering Agriculture and Pharmacy Common Entrance Test (AP EAPCET) 2024. Makineni Jishnu Sai tops the AP EAPCET in the engineering and pharmacy stream by obtaining a 97.0022 combined score. Yellu Srishanth Reddy is Rank 1 in agriculture, pharmacy and BSc (Nursing) stream. He has scored 93.4463.
A total of 3,62,851 candidates registered for the AP EAPCET 2024 including 2,74,213 candidates registered for the engineering stream, and 88,638 for the agriculture stream. A total of 1,82,283 female candidates (engineering 1,16,205+ agriculture 66,080) registered for the AP EAPCET while a total of 1,80,566 male candidates (engineering 158008+ agriculture 22,558) applied to sit for the exam.
Applicants, who appeared for the exam can check their scorecard and rank through the official website at cets.apsche.ap.gov.in.
The pass percentage in engineering is 75.51 per cent. Of the total 2,74,213 students registering in the engineering stream as many as 2,58,374 students appeared and 1,95,092 qualified. The pass percentage in agriculture is 87.11 per cent. Of the total 88,638 students registering in the agriculture stream as many as 80,766 students appeared and 70,352 qualified.
Candidate’s ranks will be allotted based on their EAMCET and Class 12 performance. They will be rewarded 75 per cent of the weightage of EAMCET marks and 25 per cent weight will be taken into consideration of class 12 marks in relevant group subjects — physics, mathematics and chemistry of the qualifying exam. However, the ST and SC category candidates will be provided with a no minimum marks criteria relaxation.
A committee will decide the weightage of marks, to provide a rank in case the candidates belong to the Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) or Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) card holder category.
