The Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) has officially announced the results for the Andhra Pradesh Law Common Entrance Test (AP LAWCET) 2026 and the Postgraduate Law Common Entrance Test (AP PGLCET) 2026. The entrance exams were managed and administered by Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam (SPMVV), Tirupati, on behalf of APSCHE.
Candidates who appeared for the state-level examinations can now access their digital rank cards. A total of 23,996 students sat for the exam, out of which 19,197 successfully qualified, yielding an overall pass rate of approximately 80%.
Critical Admission Metrics
The ranking list has been generated entirely based on the performance validation of candidates against the newly published AP LAWCET final answer key.
- Result Declaration Date: May 18, 2026
- Official Web Portal: cets.apsche.ap.gov.in
- Score Validity: Ranks and scores are strictly valid only for the single 2026–2027 academic session.
Minimum Qualifying Marks Matrix
To secure an official rank on the merit list, candidates must hit the following cutoff benchmarks out of a maximum 120 marks:
| Candidate Category | Minimum Qualifying Marks | Percentage Requirement |
| General (UR) / OBC Categories | 42 Marks | 35% |
| Scheduled Castes (SC) / Scheduled Tribes (ST) | No Minimum Cutoff Prescribed | Evaluated on raw merit score |
Structure of the Examination Paper
The computer-based entrance test, administered across two split sessions, featured 120 multiple-choice objective questions distributed across three core academic modules:
- Part A (General Knowledge & Mental Ability): 30 Questions
- Part B (Current Affairs): 30 Questions
- Part C (Aptitude for the Study of Law): 60 Questions
Official Tie-Breaking Architecture
In instances where multiple candidates finish with identical aggregate scores, APSCHE utilizes an automated hierarchical tie-breaking protocol to ensure clean merit ranking:
- Law Aptitude Dominance: Candidates securing a higher standalone score in Part C (Aptitude for the Study of Law) are automatically granted the higher state rank.
- Current Affairs Assessment: If scores remain tied, the candidate displaying a higher score in Part B (Current Affairs) receives preference.
- Age Seniority: If a tie persists after checking both sections, seniority in age is used, with the older candidate placed higher on the merit list.
